Completely and utterly adorable!

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy watching families grow over the years. I met Peter and his parents several years ago and photographed him as an adorable baby as well as photographing mom and dad’s wedding. Peter was back in the studio - this time with his new baby sister Jennifer. I just wanted to eat her up!
and Peter…you are to adorable.

This was Nicole’s final session in her baby plan. What do you do with an active 1 year old in the studio? Place them in a bucket!
I love watching my baby planners grow up. Big brother Nathan was also one of my baby planners and he’s now such a handsome little boy. Where does the time go?

I normally photograph newborns when they’re less than two weeks old. Why? They’re so sleepy at this point and love to curl up. A one month old can be a challenge to photograph. At this point, they are very aware of their surroundings and are constantly moving with flailing arms.
Once we took some awake shots and family shots, I was on a mission to get Abigail asleep. She gave me a bit of a hard time but I now consider myself the baby whisperer ! Abigail did fall asleep….and we captured these precious photos of her. Isn’t she gorgeous?

January 21, 2010 - 11:18 pm - these are fantastic, daniela! you definitely ARE the baby whisperer!! :) and abigail is oh-so-precious!
January 30, 2010 - 2:52 pm - she is adorable and you would never know by looking at these that she gave you a hard time....lol
It’s Christmas Eve…my family’s favourite day of the entire year. We have a wonderful tradition. My sister’s family and my parents always sleep over at our house Christmas Eve. It all begins with an incredible meal including calamari, pasta with clams, shrimp, seafood pasta, stuffed mushrooms and much, much more. It’s truly a meal we all look forward to all year round! We open up gifts after midnight and usually end up watching a movie that the kid’s received for Christmas. On Christmas Day we attend mass and then gather at my sister’s house for yet again another incredible meal!
To all of my clients and friends, I wish you a wonderful Christmas filled with family, tradition and love.

The studio is now closed for the holidays - reopening January 4th.
Here’s another session taken at a client’s home. Meet 2 week old Alexander who was well over 9 lbs at birth…wow.
Look at his fingers in this photo…..adorable.

I love little piggies…

I looove taking photos in my clients’ homes. It allows us to get a bit creative and use items throughout the house in the photos…like in this case….on the piano. Meet sweet Gabriella:

January 27, 2010 - 4:15 pm - genius i would never think to put a baby on a piano. I love looking at your work:)
This workshop with Nico (SYTYCD Canada Winner Season 1) and Kayla (SYTYCD US Top 4 Season 5) was such an INCREDIBLE experience for the girls!!!! It was small and intimate with only about 25 dancers in each class. It was an experience they will never forget. There were a lot of screams, tears of joy, nerves and laughter. Quoting the girls “It was the best day of their lives!”.
I think I was the only mom that asked to get a picture with Nico lol! Ummm….can my smile be any bigger?!

Kayla is sooooo beautiful and the girls really enjoyed her class.

I took more video than photos. Here’s a clip from the class with Nico. Alex is the one on the right with the white long-sleeve

The coolest part was when Nico asked to have the lights turned off. He noticed how tense and self-conscious all of the girls were (can you blame them?). He wanted them to just let go and feel the music. Once they learned the routine, he broke them down into 4 groups. He watched them dance and chose 1 girl from each group….Alex was one of them! OMG! I can only imagine how she felt. He had the four of them dance the routine and then HE DANCED IT WITH THEM!!! OMG! I really don’t know who was more excited - the girls or myself!
December 13, 2009 - 9:30 pm - My 14 years old dancer daughter is dying here! :) Congrats to Alex for such a wonderful experience. Beautiful photos!
December 13, 2009 - 10:52 pm - Ahhh I'm still in shock and omg thank you so much for bringing us and it was THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE! I also love the pics <3
December 13, 2009 - 11:21 pm - It was my pleasure Kristy. I think I enjoyed it just as much as you girls did! Wait until you see all the videos...they are priceless. Especially the one of you crying after Nico smiled at you!
I recently photographed a beautiful little girl and her family. Four year old Alivia is just the sweetest little thing - full of smiles and pure sunshine. Last December, Alivia’s parents found out she had neuroblastoma, a nerve cancer. She has been battling this for a year but still has a long road ahead. Alivia goes in for surgery on December 18th to have her tumor removed. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Although I only met Alivia for the first time at the photo session - I know she’s a fighter. She exudes positive energy…seriously.

Like I said….. pure sunshine

Mom is expecting baby #4……love this photo.

What a beautiful family!

At the end of the session, Alivia wanted a photo of her and Hershey.
Hershey’s used to being in front of my camera so she had no problem with it!

Chantal and Craig - it was truly my pleasure photographing your beautiful family. I want you to know that I’m sending my prayers and positive energy Alivia’s way.
December 10, 2009 - 9:49 pm - Daniela, What amazing photos. You captured Alivia's personality to a tee! I love the family picture as well. What a wonderful way to capture such a precious moment for the whole family. I love them! We all will be praying on Dec 18th.
I have so many amazing photos from this session….I wish I could share them all! Meet 2 week old Charlee.

Charlee is such a gorgeous baby!

omg….look at those eyelashes and those squishy lips!
