About Me

It’s a difficult thing….writing about yourself. I sat down one night with a pen and paper and began jotting basic things down about me. How I’m a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a photographer.  I then realized everything you  really want to know about me is written in my photography. If you haven’t gone through my galleries, go take a peak and then come back here.

When you look at my photos, I want you to see my passion for photography – it feeds my soul. I feel like I see the world differently. I love light and how it falls on subjects making them sparkle and how it illuminates the eyes like crystals. I love the glow on moms to be. The smell of newborn babies. The adorning faces of new parents and proud siblings. I love the anticipation in couples just recently engaged and the sparkle in a new bride’s eye.

When you look at my photos, I want you to see  the connections and the true essence of a family. I love making parents cry after seeing their photos for the first time. I love watching families grow and seeing their children year after year. I love children….oh how I love children and their impish expressions, playful smiles, intense gazes, shy glances and even their mischievous grins. I love playing with them and making them forget they’re even being photographed. I love tweens and their self-conscious behaviours, and teenagers with their exuding confidence and attitude.

When you look at my photos, I want you to see the underlying essence of life – the family ties, the sentiments, the devotion, the laughter, the love. I do this because time is fleeting, because children grow up so quickly,  because we change, because we want to remember, because photos stir the soul, because life is beautiful….capture it.

IM thirteen. My Dad and grandparents, my sister and mom are all photographers. But something about what they photographed bugged me. I realize with your picture, that what they missed was how things are naturally. you can take things and turn them into beauty. I am inspired by your work. Everything you took, had its own beauty. thanks :)
