My busy season has come to an end  .I have photographed so many amazing families and beautiful children. To all who have made the trip to my studio…thank-you from the bottom of my heart.

The studio is officially closed until January 16th.

I’m looking forward to Christmas with my family and our traditions. On Christmas Eve we feast on everything fish…..no meat. My favourite part are the appetizers…shrimp, seafood salad and stuffed mushrooms. Yum. The rest of my family look forward to the calamari (I still can’t get myself to eat it). Something we have always done every year is have a sleepover! My family, my parents and my sister’s family all sleepover at either our house or my sisters….depending on who’s hosting. We open our gifts at midnight and then we usually stay up to watch a movie. We all love this tradition and I hope it continues. On Christmas Day…we go to church and then feast again. Ahhh….it’s great to be italian especially during the holidays!

Baby as Art photographers Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall are by far the most well known and leading newborn photographers in the industry. The two-day workshops will be held at my studio on July 18,19th and July 21,22nd. There are only 12 spots available for each workshop and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re already sold out!  I always look forward to summer…especially after our long, cold winters. This year, however, I will be counting down the days to these workshops….I cannot wait!

I had such an INCREDIBLE summer filled with family, friends, food and fun. I tried to spend as much time as possible at our cottage up north. I would spend two weeks up north and then come home for a week where I would jam pack in ordering and photo sessions. It was the best of both worlds….how I wish our summers weren’t so short :( I am going to miss the northern fresh air, the sunsets, the boat trips, kayaking, watching the kids wakeboard and most of all the laughter with family and friends. I feel truly blessed.

I haven’t blogged much this summer – have I?  I’m going to try to  post some of my favourite sessions over the next few weeks.  For those of you looking for fall sessions – please contact me soon as I only have a few openings left!

The Hamilton/Niagara branch of the PPOC had their annual photo shoot yesterday. It was located in a very cool warehouse in Hamilton. I am so thankful to be associated with such an incredible association/branch. The day was amazing filled with knowledge, awesome locations, gorgeous models and talented photographers…..many whom I have the pleasure of calling friends.

I was absolutely THRILLED when one of my images not only got accepted into the National Print Salon but also received a MERIT!!!!!

An image can basically score not accepted, accepted, merit and excellent. I have been smiling from ear to ear….I can’t stop :)

It was my third time attending and I must say that I come home completely inspired every time. I loved listening in on the print competition, attending the platform classes and browsing through the tradeshow –  which is always my favourite part. Touching and seeing products in person is soooo much better than online. I’m always on the look out for quality, cutting edge products and WPPI is certainly the place to find them.  I am VERY excited about some new, unique products I will be offering very soon! Once I receive my samples – I will definitely share. Keep an eye on the blog….these products are soooo cool.

What’s a blog post without a photo? I have to admit that the highlight of my trip was seeing Nigel Barker from America’s Next Top Model up close and personal! I have a not-so-secret crush on him (don’t worry…hubby knows!).  I only brought along my point and shoot camera, but the kind photographer standing next to me was nice enough to send me one of his images from his DSLR. Let’s just say he was quick to notice my excitement! Thank-you Henry for this image!
